Based on Guangxi Banking School and Guangxi Banking Cadre School founded by the Head Office of the People's Bank of China in 1952 and 1953 respectively, Guangxi Financial Vocational College was established in January 2014 with the approval of the People's Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and filing at the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China.Directly under the administration of the Education Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the College is the only full-time vocational higher education institution in Guangxi with the task of training banking, securities, insurance and other financial and economic talents. It participates in the national plan to develop high-level vocational higher education institutions and majors, and contributes to the building of China-ASEAN Institute of Modern Craftsmanship and China-ASEAN Institute of Technology Innovation. Known as "the cradle of financial talents in Guangxi", it has trained more than 60,000 qualified graduates. In accordance with the open school-running idea of "talents with international vision,international courses, cooperation with transnational enterprises, international cooperation projects and achievements in international cooperation", the College has extensively carried out international educational exchanges and expanded its international cooperation network. It has established cooperative and exchange relations with colleges and universities in 26 countries and regions such as the United States, Belarus, Poland, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Cambodia, and has so far fostered friendly cooperative relations with 42 colleges and universities in foreign countries (or outside the Chinese mainland). There were 534 faculty members,including 122 with deputy senior professional and technical titles or above, and 272 double-qualified teachers, 60 teachers who had studied abroad and 7 teachers qualified as International Chinese Language Teachers. The college recruits international students from countries including Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Bangladesh, fostering a diverse and inclusive campus environment. To meet the training needs of international students, the college offers specialized majors such as International Finance, Cross-border E-commerce, Big Data and Financial Management, and Tourism Management. It also actively builds communication platforms for Chinese and international students, enabling students to experience the unique charm of Chinese culture through interaction. This initiative helps students broaden their global vision and achieve comprehensive growth and development.
