I. Institutional Standing and Prestigious Honors

Approved by the Ministry of Education in 2024, Liuzhou Polytechnic University (LZPU) is a public undergraduate vocational university established on the foundation of Liuzhou Vocational & Technical College (LVTC). It is recognized as a National Exemplary Vocational Institution, a national high-quality institution, and is enlisted in the “National Top-Notch Vocational Institutions and Programs Plan.” LZPU has been ranked among the National Top 50 Vocational Institutions in teaching management, student management, and teaching resources, and was honored as a Top 50 Institution for Industry-Education Integration by the Capek Prize. It is a recipient of the Huang Yanpei Vocational Education Award and stands as the only institution in Guangxi to be recognized as an “Outstanding Institution for the Employment and Entrepreneurship of College Graduates” for 24 consecutive years.

II. Academic Excellence and Talent Cultivation

The university comprises 10 schools, including the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering and the School of Automotive Engineering, offering a total of 59 majors (including 13 undergraduate vocational majors and 46 associate majors). Adhering to the philosophy of “aligning programs with industrial chains and integrating education with talent chains,” LZPU maintains over 90% alignment between its major structure and industrial development. Notably, the Mechanical and Electrical Equipment Maintenance and Management major group is the only national exemplary key construction pilot of its kind in the equipment manufacturing sector. The university’s excellence is further evidenced by 7 National Teaching Achievement Awards, a first prize in the First National Textbook Construction Award (the only one in Guangxi), and numerous national-level teaching teams and skill masters. Furthermore, LZPU students secured a gold medal at the inaugural World Vocational College Skills Competition.

III. Industry-Education Integration and Local Service

LZPU achieves 100% industry-education cooperation across all majors, with over 50% of programs co-developed with Fortune 500 companies and industry leaders. The university leads the Guangxi (Liuzhou) Automobile Industry-Education Joint Body—one of the first 28 national-level city-sector entities—and the Guangxi Automobile Industry Vocational Education Group, which has been recognized as a “National Exemplary Vocational Education Group.”

IV. Global Cooperation and the “LZPU Solution”

Focusing on ASEAN, LZPU adheres to the principle of “Teaching following Production.” In collaboration with industry giants such as LiuGong, SAIC-GM-Wuling, Shennan Circuit, and Gotion High-tech, the university has established several International Craftsman Institutes in Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam. These institutes provide customized talent cultivation, technical training, and services, offering strong support for the global expansion of Chinese enterprises. As a founding member of the World TVET Development Alliance, LZPU leads the Thailand-Vietnam working group of the China-ASEAN TVET Association. By spearheading the China-Indonesia TVET Industry-Education Alliance and implementing vocational standard upgrades in Indonesia, LZPU actively explores collaborative paths for professional standards and teaching resources, contributing the “LZPU Solution” to the international promotion of Chinese vocational education.
